3 Irresistible Reese's Recipes You Have to Try

Whether it's Butter Cups or good ol' Reese's Pieces, Reece's confectionery is great on its own, but have you ever thought about making it the star ingredient in your own baking? Here are three mouth-watering Reece's recipes to get excited about (Caution: recipes may result in ruined diets and uncontrollable drooling).

Reese’s Peanut Butter Bars

Prep time: 20mins

Bake time: 23mins

Makes: 24 bars

Main ingredients: ½ cup butter, 2 cups peanut butter chips, 1 cup halved Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, 1/3 cup Reese’s Pieces

Once you’ve baked with Reese’s, you’ll never bake an ordinary brownie recipe ever again. The rich, salty flavours that burst out of Reese’s confectionery turn average brownie mixes into something truly special!

And these Reese’s Peanut Butter Bars are no different, taking the same amount of time to prep and bake as your bog-standard, supermarket shelf cake mix but yielding a mouth-watering experience that’s simply out of this world.

Once you’ve made your dough and stirred in your peanut butter cup halves, spread your mixture into a baking tray and bake at 180/Gas Mark 4 for approximately 25 minutes. While those torturous minutes tick by you can get going on the frosting which includes butter, vanilla, whipping cream and cocoa powder. And don’t forget to sprinkle on those Reese’s Pieces for a truly glorious finish. A treat for the eyes as well as mouths.

No-Bake Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake

Prep time: 20mins

Bake time: None!

Makes: 8-10 slices

Main ingredients: 2 cups cookie crumbs, 8oz cream cheese, ¾ cup peanut butter, 16 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

Need something summery for a BBQ dessert? Look no further. This Reese’s Cheesecake from Beyond Frosting will be the pièce de résistance of your family get together.

A wonderfully rich cheesecake that requires no baking, the recipe is quick and easy, making it a firm favourite for mums and dads with no time to spare. Just go about making a normal biscuit-based cheesecake but the filling will get its richness of flavour from the peanut butter which is also stuffed with crushed/halved Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Every bite is bursting with peanut butter goodness and the mixture of creamy filling and occasional Reese’s chunk gives it an edge over traditional cheesecakes. And if you want to be extra indulgent (and why wouldn’t you be?), melt down a ¼ cup of peanut butter in the microwave for about a minute and drizzle over for a cheesecake experience like no other.

Soft Baked Reese’s Pieces Butterscotch Cookies

Reeses-blog-Soft-Reeses-Pieces-Butterscotch-Cookies_-31

Prep time: 10mins

Chill time: 3 hours minimum (or 2-3 days)

Bake time: 11-12mins

Makes: 16 large cookies

Main ingredients: ½ cup Reece’s Pieces, ¾ cup butterscotch chips

What could go better together than butterscotch and peanut butter? Butterscotch with its rich caramel and brown sugar notes pairs wonderfully with Reese’s rich and nutty flavours. A match made in buttery heaven!

If the thought to buddy the two up hadn’t crossed your mind before, fear not. Sally’s Baking Addiction has had the foresight and the kindness to give it some serious thought and has come up with this heavenly cookie recipe.

While the prep and bake time will only take up 20mins of your time, the chill time for the dough turns this recipe into a bit of a waiting game - and a monumental test of willpower! At least 3 hours is the recommended time to leave the dough in the fridge, but you’ll get better results the longer you leave it, so there’s no harm planning 2-3 days ahead with these cookies. Why not Netflix-and-chill while your dough chills?
