50,000 Children Wake Up with Smiles After Mission Christmas Toy Appeal Success

30 December 2015

B&M’s customers helped put smiles on thousands of children’s faces this Christmas by donating to Key 103’s Mission Christmas appeal.

The Cash for Kids charity toy appeal raised over £1,916,048 worth of toys, with B&M stores across the country acting as drop off points for donations.

And the generosity of B&M shoppers meant that 50,214 disadvantaged children woke up on Christmas morning to a toy or gift they would otherwise have been without.

B&M are proud sponsors of the Mission Christmas toy appeal which aims to help children living in poverty.

Earlier in December, B&M’s Urmston store in Greater Manchester opened its doors to Key 103’s radio presenter Debbie Mac and students from a local school. They took part in a trolley dash down the toys and gifts aisle and managed to walk away with over £2000 worth of goods for the appeal.

2015’s total sees a fantastic increase on the previous year, which helped just over 37,000 children, raising £1.6 million worth of toys.

Thank you to everyone who donated this year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Here's to an even better year in 2016!
