B&M Boosts Bicester with New Bargain Store

05 March 2016

B&M provided a boost for Bicester with the opening of its first store in the town on Saturday.

The brand new B&M Bargains store is based at the former Tesco on Sheep Street, allowing local shoppers to experience B&M’s brilliant prices from a convenient location.

New customers are now able to find B&M’s wide ranges of branded and own label products including toys, food & drink, health & beauty and seasonal ranges.

A total of 50 jobs have been created as a result of the store opening, providing a welcome boost to the Oxfordshire town.

The Bicester store is the fourth B&M to open in Oxfordshire, following stores in Cowley, Abingdon and Didcot – highlighting the impressive growth of the variety retailer.

Deputy Mayor Melanie Magee cut the ribbon to officially open the new store.

Danny Gardiner, store manager at B&M Bicester spoke of his eagerness at officially opening the new store.

He said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“We’ve been really excited to get the doors open and finally welcome our new customers through the door.”

In addition to the Mayor’s appearance, the first lucky shoppers at B&M Bicester were also treated to giveaways and a free face painter – delighting children both young and old.

B&M’s recent store growth shows no sign of slowing, with today’s opening starting off a busy month for the retailer, including 3 store openings in the next week alone.
