Mrs Adams was nominated for her tireless work providing A Christmas in Company for the people of Workington area who live alone. For the past 10 years, she has given up her Christmas Day to provide support, food and gifts for others on 25th December. Mrs Adams also helps with the Parkinson Society and Age Concern.

Paul Roberts B&M’s Store Manager at Workington said: “We’re really proud to be opening our first store in Workington, creating 50 jobs and playing our part in the local community. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the grand opening and made it such a fun day.”
