B&M Open New Ipswich Store on Black Friday

25 November 2016

B&M continued its Black Friday bonanza with the opening of yet another new store this Black Friday.

The new Ipswich store is based at the Eastgate Shopping Centre, and promises to deliver the retailer’s big brand bargains to the town.

The Homestore has been eagerly anticipated, with shoppers arriving early, eager to snap up some Black Friday deals.

Visitors to the store will be able to browse the variety retailer’s ranges of toys, home accessories,

 DIY & seasonal products.

The former Poundland store has undergone a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment programme and created more than 80 new jobs for local people.

The buzz was increased by the retailer’s Black Friday offer of 10% off everything in store, which meant there was extra excitement in the air on opening day.

As part of B&M’s Local Hero initiative, representatives from Suffolk Age UK were invited along to take centre stage and cut the ribbon at the new store.

Suffolk Age UK believe that older people should be valued, and treated as individuals, not just an age group.

Their aim is to help the elderly and through befriending, lunch clubs, dementia clubs and other support they are able to give the older generation of our country the opportunity to be listened to and valued.

As well as opening the store, the charity also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part in the day’s events.

Also in attendance as the Local Mayor, Councillor Roger Fern, who added extra prestige to the proceedings.

Pawal Fatz, store manager at B&M Carr Street said: “We’ve been feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and feedback on the new store has been great so far.

“It’s been fantastic opening on Black Friday, customers can’t believe that the offer is across all products in store so they’re stocking up on everything they need for Christmas, now.”

Customers will also be able to enter the B&M Big Prize Bonanza, a free game show taking place at the store on the day to carry on the atmosphere throughout the day.

Those who enter will be in with a chance of winning prizes including a Russell Hobbs Vacuum Cleaner, B&M vouchers, Cadbury’s Chocolates and much more.

On Saturday 26 November there will also be a facepainter in store to transform customers into their favourite super heroes, animals or characters.
