B&M Opens Brilliant New Braintree Store

08 June 2016

B&M has provided further jobs in Essex after opening a new store on Wednesday.

More than 60 jobs have been created thanks to the opening of the new B&M Bargains store in Braintree.

Located on Rayne Road, at the site of the former Morrisons, local shoppers will be able to easily access the retailer’s wide choice of branded and own label products.

Visitors to the store will be able to browse toys, electrical lines and pet products, as well as everyday essential such as groceries and household cleaning items.

Robert Davies from the Braintree branch of the Salvation Army was on hand to help with the ribbon cutting, as B&M’s Local Hero for the day.

A B&M Local Hero can be an individual or organisation who have made an important contribution to their local community.

The Salvation Army offer a range of activities and services within local communities, with local people getting involved in all sorts of ways including volunteering with fundraising initiatives.

The charity has 50,000 members in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, who demonstrate Christian principles through practical support; offering unconditional friendship, and very practical help to people of all ages, backgrounds and needs.

In addition to cutting the ribbon, the charity’s representative also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part in the day’s events.

Also in attendance at the opening day celebrations was Councillor Tom Cunningham, who helped to cut the ribbon alongside the Salvation Army volunteers.

The opening day fun extended to Saturday, with a face painter set to ensure everyone who visited the store went home happy.
