B&M Opens New Store in Elland

16 April 2016

B&M’s stock continued to grow on Saturday, opening another new store in Elland.

Having opened its 500th store in March, B&M’s effort to bring its own brand of low-priced, great-value products to even more shoppers around the UK continued at the weekend.

And the variety retailer’s expansion in West Yorkshire has brought them even closer to local communities, with its latest Bargains Store located in Elland, on Huddersfield Road.

To celebrate the grand opening, store staff nominated an inspirational B&M Local Hero to open the store.

4 year-old Sonny was chosen by Elland staff as a worthy recipient of the award. As well as being B&M’s VIP guest for the day, Sonny -who has type 1 diabetes and spends his time fundraising for local diabetes charities- helped cut the ribbon to officially open the store.

And as a big thank you for all his help, Sonny was awarded with £250 worth of B&M vouchers. True to his generous nature, Sonny offered to give half of the vouchers to the children’s ward of the local hospital.

The celebrations continued throughout the day with free face painting, Haribo samples and B&M bags for life available to all opening day shoppers.
