Crewe Sees Employment Boost with New B&M Store

05 November 2014

One of the UK’s leading variety retailers finally arrived in Crewe with a brand new B&M store opening in the town today.

Located in the popular Market Centre, shoppers will enjoy an exciting new B&M Bargains store with all the usual pocket-saving branded and own label products. To mark the occasion, B&M invited very special guest Mark Porter from St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice to cut the ribbon and officially open the new store.

Mr Porter was presented with B&M vouchers worth £250 by Store Manager Sharon Darlington. He was nominated by the store as one of B&M’s ‘Local Heroes’ for the work he carries out in the local community.

Prior to unveiling the new store in front it’s very first customers, Mr Porter said: “We are thrilled to be chosen by B&M to open this new store in Crewe. St Luke’s cares for patients and their families at some of the most distressing times of their lives. The support of B&M really will make a difference to patient care and we wish them the very best of luck with the store.”

Now with over 400 stores in the UK, B&M continues to show it’s commitment to boosting local economies and providing new jobs, with up to 60 vacancies created at the Market Centre store.

Store Manager, Sharon said: “B&M is committed to recruiting from the local area and I’m proud we’ve found a great team from in and around Crewe for our first store in the town. We’re really proud to be creating jobs and playing our part in the local community.”
