Driffield Welcomes First B&M Store

28 November 2015

Shoppers in Yorkshire witnessed a B&M first on Saturday, with the opening of its latest store in Driffield.

The variety retailer rounded off a busy month of openings, with no less than seven new B&M stores bringing big brand bargains to towns and cities across the country in November.

B&M’s latest Bargains Store in Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire marked a special day for one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers as well as local people, bringing more retail and employment opportunities to the area.

The store was opened with the help of Mayor of Driffield, Councillor Matt Rogers who cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony.

The mayor received £250 worth of B&M vouchers for his chosen charity, as a thank you for taking part.

Driffield’s latest addition is located on Middle Street South, at the heart of the town and provides a convenient location for shoppers.

Mike Hayhurst, store manager at B&M Driffield, said: “B&M is committed to recruiting from the local area and we are delighted we’ve found a great team from in and around Driffield.

“We’re really proud to have created jobs across the town this year and we look forward to playing our part in the local community.”

The Bargains Store will stock a wide variety of products, from grocery and toiletries to toys, giftware and electrical ranges.
