Local Hero Opens New B&M Store in Erdington

31 October 2014

Another 65 jobs have been created across Birmingham by B&M after it opened a new shop in Erdington. Alterations were completed to the store at Castle Vale Retail Park which opened on Friday 31st October and followed hot on the heels of the recent B&M store opening in Birmingham city centre.

To celebrate this opening, two deserving members of the community were given the opportunity to be a VIP for the morning and open the new B&M Homestore; local heroes were nominated by friends, family or work colleagues and were people who improve life for people in the area, are dedicated to a particular cause or are renowned for their charity work.

Garry Rogers B&M’s Store Manager at Erdington said: “We wanted a true VIP to officially open our new store and what better way than to ask customers to nominate those who make a real difference to people’s lives in and around Erdington”.

We were not judging by age or the type of support, we just wanted someone who goes that extra mile and who we can give something back to for a change”.

The lucky winners were local couple Tami Dalton and her fiancée Rhys who were representing the Paediatric Assessment Unit at Walsall Manor Hospital. Tami and Rhys also received £250 worth of vouchers to spend in store.
