New B&M Creates 60 More Jobs In Glasgow With New Store

29 March 2014

B&M has created another 60 jobs in Glasgow after opening new store on the Forge Retail Park in the city.

The finishing touches were completed on time to the 20,000sq ft store which opened on Saturday 22nd March at 9am.

Customers can expect a wide variety of branded and own label products from its convenient location on Biggar Street including groceries and toiletries as well as an extensive non-food section including toys, soft furnishings, home and gardening ranges.

The ribbon cutting was undertaken by the Provost of Glasgow and representatives from Yorkhill Children’s Hospital. The charity received £250 worth of vouchers as a thank you for their support.  As part of the grand opening, there was a ‘Golden Envelope’ Competition for the first 100 customers with every envelope containing a prize, a face painter as well as balloon and confectionery giveaways from the Haribo bear.

Carol Lyndsay, Store Manager at B&M Glasgow Forge said: “We were excited to get the doors open on Saturday 22nd March and have a team of colleagues who are providing great value products and world class service to our customers. We were also delighted to play our part in the local community with a donation of £250 to a very worthwhile cause”.
