New Look B&M Gives St Ann’s Hospice An Early Easter Treat

27 March 2014

The Easter bunny has come early to St Ann’s Hospice in Swinton thanks to a surprise donation of £250 worth of raffle prizes for their forthcoming Summer Fair from the B&M store on the Parade in the town.

Representatives from the hospice were able to fill their trolley with goodies from the new look store which has recently re-opened after a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment programme.

To mark the store’s completion, it was the store colleagues themselves who identified St Ann’s Hospice to which they would like to support.

Kathryn Sexton, Community Fundraiser at St Ann's Hospice said: "As a local charity, events like our fairs are really important to us - not just to raise funds but also to engage with our communities. The success of these activities is reliant upon the support of local people and organisations, and we are very grateful for the generous donations from the team at B&M.”

Keith Waters, Store Manager at B&M Swinton, said: “We are delighted to play our part in the local community with a donation of raffle prizes to a very worthwhile cause. Having our colleagues choose the local charity themselves makes it extra special.”
