RNLI Saves the Day with B&M Poole Store Opening

29 August 2015

B&M are delighted to be beside the seaside after opening their latest store in Poole.

The variety retailer opened the doors of its latest ‘beachside’ property on Saturday and has created 60 jobs in the harbour town.

The Home Store is the first B&M store in Poole and customers can expect a wide variety of branded and own label products from its convenient location on Mannings Heath Retail Park, Yarrow Road.

And to join staff in celebrating the grand opening, representatives from the RNLI were invited to cut the ribbon at the former Carpet Barn and Fabric Warehouse.

Store staff nominated the charity as an organisation who play an important role in the local community.

Representatives – which included the charity’s mascot Stormy Stan – received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for opening the store.

Liza Lowson, store manager at B&M Poole said: “B&M is committed to recruiting from the local area and I am delighted we’ve found a great team from in and around Poole.

“We’re really proud to have created 60 jobs this year and to play our part in the local community.

“We’re delighted to have finally opened our doors and honoured to have representatives from the RNLI cutting the ribbon to officially mark the opening of our new store”.

B&M now has over 450 stores nationwide, employing over 19,000 people across all operations.
