Shoppers in Nottingham Celebrate New B&M Store

17 March 2016

B&M has increased its presence in Nottinghamshire with the opening of a brand new store in the region.

Based at the Castle Retail Park on Radford Boulevard, the new store brings the total of B&M’s in the area to six.

The Home Store has created 40 jobs for local people, bringing the total number of jobs created by B&M in the county to more than 85 in the past six months alone.

Shoppers will be able to browse B&M’s wide range of branded and own label products, including extensive toy, DIY, Homeware and furniture ranges.

Representatives from the Sue Ryder charity were invited by store colleagues to cut the ribbon at the store’s opening.

Sue Ryder provide hospice and neurological care for people who are facing a frightening, life changing diagnosis.

The hospice treats more conditions than any other UK charity in their hospices, as well as campaigning to improve the lives of people living with them.

In addition to opening the new store, the hospice also gratefully received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part in the opening day celebrations.

A B&M spokesperson said: “We’ve been feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“We were really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door.”

Everyone in attendance at the opening was able to experience the fun that a B&M store opening provides – with everything from balloon giveaways and a face painter, helping to make the day a memorable one.

The excitement is due to continue into the weekend with the famous Dulux dog scheduled to arrive in-store on Saturday as B&M's VIP.
