Two New B&M Stores Create Up To 150 New Jobs in Oxfordshire

22 September 2014

B&M has created up to 150 jobs in Oxfordshire after opening not one but two stores across the county. The finishing touches were made to the company’s new stores in Abingdon and Didcot which both opened this this month.

The new 26,000 sq ft Abingdon Homestore opened at the former Homestore & More on Fairacres Retail Park on Thursday 18th September.

This store was followed in the same week by the opening of the new 31,000 sq ft Didcot Homestore and Garden Centre which opened at the former Focus on Wallingford Road Retail Park on Saturday 20th September at 9am too.

Customers can expect a wide variety of branded and own label products from their convenient locations including groceries and toiletries as well as an extensive non-food section including toys, soft furnishings, home and electrical ranges. The Didcot store will also benefit from a dedicated Garden Centre for all your gardening and outdoor needs.

Darryl Neville, Area Manager for Oxfordshire said: “We’re really proud to be opening not one but two new stores across Oxfordshire, creating up to 150 new jobs and playing our part in the local community.”

“We were excited to get the doors open this month and have two teams of colleagues who are willing to provide great value products and world class service to our customers”.
