B&M Celebrates International Women’s Day With Charity Donations

10 March 2023 - All UK and Northern Ireland Charity News

It’s never been more important to support women in society and this International Women’s Day, we at B&M showed our full support. Across the company we’ve promoted several different ways that colleagues can support the message and take action regarding women’s issues.

The first of our great fundraising opportunities were our hamper donations. Over the week leading up to International Women’s Day, colleagues across our head offices donated hundreds of essential products to help vulnerable women in society.

Donations ranged from feminine hygiene products, beauty packs and toiletries all of which have been donated to the local Women’s Refuge at Refuge Women Connect. The organisation supports some of the most vulnerable women in the Liverpool area, including refugees and asylum seekers. These vital donations will help support vulnerable women and empower them in their lives when they need it most.

If you wish to donate, please visit the Refuge Women Connect Donation page.

The cause was so well supported that overspill donations were taken on the 9th of March to the Tomorrow’s Women Wirral who provide much needed support to vulnerable women and their children across the Liverpool City Region.

In addition, on International Women’s Day B&M colleagues were encouraged to wear purple to show their support. Anything from a single item of clothing to a whole outfit was encouraged, and across the whole company colleagues came out in full force to show their proud support and encourage more donations.

Several other important women’s charities were highlighted by B&M. Please see below and give what you can to support these great causes.
