Discount retailer funds hospice care for children suffering with life-limiting illnesses in East Anglia

06 December 2017 - East of England Charity News

B&M has donated £20,000 to the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices to help them continue providing specialist care and support for seriously ill children and their families which will enable them to get the medical and emotional support they need in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

Sophie Mayes, EACH Norfolk Corporate Fundraiser, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at B&M for this very generous donation. We are so grateful for their support and would like to thank all their stores across East Anglia for choosing to support EACH. The money raised will go towards funding the vital services we provide to children, young people and families at a time when they need it most.

“We rely on voluntary donations for the vast majority of our income so without the generous support of businesses like B&M and the local community, we simply wouldn’t be able to continue to provide the specialist care and support we do to so many families.”

B&M Area Manager, Les Carder, said: “My team chose East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices because the outstanding work they provide needs recognising and rewarding. The care the hospice provides can be a lifeline to these families so it is great that we can help and support local people in need.”
