Festive Frozen Food: A Taste Of Christmas for Less

20 November 2020

The most wonderful time of the year is finally here, which means preparing to make your choice of festive food an unforgettable highlight of this year’s holiday season.

Whether you’re taking your place at the dining table, taking charge of the kitchen, or ready to relax and take your pick of lighter options, read on to unwrap some new food favourites this Christmas!

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas…

All we want for Christmas is to celebrate with an annual taste of delicious tradition, which starts by serving the most eagerly awaited meal of the year.

In that spirit, get truly seasonal with a succulent Turkey Crown taking pride of place at the Christmas table, or try something different, and get everybody talking with a festive feast courtesy of the Pork Loin rolled with Garlic, Rosemary and Fennel Rub.

B&M Top Tip: To give an extra crunch to roast potatoes, dust in semolina or flour, and make sure cooking oil, (or ideally, goose fat), is as hot as possible before adding your Christmas Day roasties.

All The Trimmings!

It’s the finer details which can cleverly redefine the festive flavour of your Christmas, and make it a meal to remember.

While most of us would agree on the essential Christmas lunch ingredients, add a taste of seasonal luxury with a few well-chosen culinary additions.

How about a side serving of Dauphinoise Potatoes, smothered in a rich and creamy cheese sauce, finished with cheddar cheese and chopped parsley?

And love them or loathe them, we think it’s worth giving Brussel Sprouts with Bacon a chance to stop wallowing at the bottom of your Christmas shopping list, and wow the family, this year!

B&M Top Tip: Give that all-important gravy the VIP treatment by stirring in some cranberry sauce, or adding a splash of port for an extra merry Christmas!

Winter Wonderland

It’s no surprise, after cooking up a Christmas Day feast, most of us are keen to spend less time in the kitchen, and more time relaxing and enjoying the rest of the celebrations.

Time for your annual Christmas movie? How about a quick fix of Mini Pizza Bagels, or Pigs Under Blankets Pizza? And save time without skimping on flavour, as kids will love the Breaded Chicken Christmas Trees.

Light bites are the perfect compromise, offering smaller portions which still feel like a real treat!

B&M Top Tip: Avoid last-minute panic! Make sure cupboards are stocked with the essentials you need – from oven trays, to tin foil, and salt and pepper – and check recipes to ensure you’ve got ingredients.
