18 June 2019

A huge part of summer is dancing along to your favourite music in a field with your best friends.

Yep, it’s festival season! With the big one (Glastonbury) starting in just a few days, here at B&M HQ we thought we’d give you the lowdown on the big and unmissable summer music festivals, as well as some tips and essentials for surviving!

Glastonbury – 26th-30th June

With over 120,000 revellers, what better place to start than the UK's biggest music festival: Glastonbury! The super festival boasts dozens of stages and performance areas for new, well-known and superstar artists to perform to their fans.

Headlining this year’s festival are Stormzy, The Killers and The Cure, the latter closing on the Pyramid Stage on Sunday night.

Other stars such as Lewis Capaldi, Snow Patrol, Miley Cyrus, Kylie, The Proclaimers, Liam Gallagher and many, many more, are performing over the five-day festival.

B&M Top Tip: If you're staying overnight at Glastonbury you'll need a tent. Grab this 2-3 person tent, with plenty of room to share with others! And don't forget to check out the rest of our Festival Essentials here!

Wireless – 5th-7th July

Wireless Festival is the biggest hip-hop musical weekend there is. With huge American stars like Cardi B, Tyga, A$AP Rocky, Migos, Future and Travis Scott – to name a few – it really is the place to be if you love rap.

There are plenty of British acts, too, with Bugzy Malone and Fredo performing on the first day.

It takes place in Finsbury Park, London, over the weekend starting July 5th. Don’t miss it!

Lovebox – 12th-13th July

Another massive music festival in London takes place just a week after Wireless. Set in London’s Victoria Park, Lovebox is an urban festival with a fabulous mix of DJs, rock and roll, rap and much more.

Around 65,000 fans go for the variety of music style, which also includes folk, hip hop, indie, punk and electronic.

There are also stalls offering delicious food and drink for you to sample, too!

Camp Bestival – 25th-28th July

With something to cater for all ages, Camp Bestival is the ideal family music festival!

Featuring artists such as Jess Glynne and The Human League, teenagers and parents will have something to dance to. For children, there is Mr Tumble and Mister Maker, so there’s plenty all-round.

At Lulworth Castle, Camp Bestival combines an all-encompassing family festival experience with an action packed camping holiday.

B&M Top Tip: Keep yourself wrapped up warm while camping using this Mummy Sleeping Bag, available in a variety of colours.

Creamfields – 22nd-25th August
