B&M Collaborates with P&G and Independent Age to Support Older People in UK

20 October 2025

B&M and P&G are proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Independent Age, a UK charity dedicated to helping older people facing financial hardship live independently and with dignity.

Through this meaningful collaboration, B&M is strengthening its commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and communities across the country.

From 19th October 2025 to 15th November 2025, customers can help to make a difference by simply purchasing select P&G products that will be available across B&M stores.

For every qualifying pack sold, B&M will donate 5p to Independent Age, helping to fund vital services that assist older people across the country and directly aiding their important work.

With almost 2 million older people living in poverty and around one million just above the poverty line, as the nation faces the continued cost-of-living crisis, older people on a low income are struggling to pay for some if life's basic necessities. The harsh reality often takes a mental, emotional, and physical toll, leaving older adults vulnerable to isolation, poor health, and deteriorating living conditions.

Thabani, a retired NHS critical care nurse, experienced the staggering effect of climbing costs when she came close to having her home repossessed.

She commented:

"As a critical care nurse, I felt like I had status in society. I was respected. Now that I'm retired, I'm in trouble with my creditors and depending on a food bank."

"Independent Age gave me my dignity back. Without them, I think I'd be homeless."

Independent Age is a national charity dedicated to improving the lives of people facing financial hardship in later life. Their helpline and expert advisors offer free and invaluable support to people in in later life who don't have enough to live on, while they also aid and support other local charities with the same goals. With the knowledge and insight gained from their services and partnerships, Independent Age then highlight these issues by campaigning for policy change. Their mission is clear: they believe no one should face financial hardship later in life.

As the cost-of-living continues to stretch limited budgets to breaking point, partnerships like the one between B&M, P&G, and Independent Age are more important now more than ever. By coming together to support older people in financial hardship, we can improve their lives and ensure they can afford to live with dignity, warmth, and connection. Together, we can make a real difference.
