B&M Excited to Announce Brand New Discount Store in Stockton-on-Tees

13 September 2023

B&M is ecstatic to deliver a brand-new store offering high quality and affordable goods to the people of Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham.

After taking possession of a previous M&S store, B&M Stockton-on-Tees opened its doors to the public on Thursday the 14th of September. Serving as a hub for the local community by creating over 27 jobs, the store boasts over 14,000sqft of great branded bargains. The people of Stockton-on-Tees couldn’t have wished for better!

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink and pet food.

There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts and plenty more to explore.

The colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from A Way Out to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

A Way Out is an outreach and prevention charity which aims to engage, empower, and equip vulnerable and excluded women, families, and young people to live lives free from harm, abuse, and exploitation and to reduce life limiting choices and behaviour.

Those they support include women and young people with substance misuse problems, involved with sex work, homeless or living on the streets, often engaged in offending or victims of abuse. They are supported with assistance in multiple areas to ensure that they feel safe, giving them the best chance to live happy lives.

This includes help with, attending appointments, housing support, domestic abuse support, financial support, support with children’s social care and basic needs.

The store manager from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”

The store manager also commented: “A Way Out really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.
