B&M Home Store Arrives In Seaside Resort

Llandudno has welcomed its very first B&M store, with 70 new jobs for local people created in the process.

The doors were officially opened at B&M’s newest Home Store & Garden Centre on Friday at the Mostyn Champneys Retail Park.

B&M is one of the fastest growing retailers in the UK and its arrival in the north Wales seaside resort has provided a welcome boost to the local economy.

The store is located at the former Homebase and all its former employees were successful in their application for jobs with B&M.

To celebrate the store opening staff were asked to nominate a local charity to take part in proceedings and Lifeboats was chosen to receive £250 worth of B&M vouchers in donations.

Llandudno Mayor & Mayoress, Councillor Frank Bradfield and Mrs Margaret Bradfield we’re also invited as part of the opening ceremony. The dignitaries cut the ribbon to officially open the store on a landmark day for B&M.

A B&M spokesperson, said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“We are really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in March.”

Hundreds of shoppers passed through the doors on opening day, keen to make the most of B&M’s various ranges, from toys and DIY to homeware, health and beauty and grocery.
