B&M Relocates to Bigger & Better Store in Hexham, Tyne Valley

On Thursday the 15th of May at 8am, B&M was delighted to open a brand new store in Hexham, Tyne Valley.

After taking possesion of a previous Homebase store the B&M team relocated to the bigger site and immediately began extesive refurbishment. The new store now boasts over 17,000sqft of top-quality shopping space along with a 7,000sqft mezzanine floor.

The new store has also brought a boost to the local economy with the creation of 20 new jobs.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.

The store will also boast its own 6,373sqft garden centre, selling hundreds of plant varieties garden essentials.

The store manager from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”

The colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from Tynedale Hospice to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

Tynedale Hospice is a charity offering wraparound home-based care and support for adults with palliative needs or undergoing treatment for life-limiting conditions and people of all ages needing pre or post-bereavement support. Tynedale Hospice provides high quality care and support to approximately 70,000 residents of West Northumberland, Tynedale, and Ponteland.

The store manager also commented: “Tynedale Hospice really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
