B&M Sets Up Shop on Luton Retail Park

23 November 2018

Locals in Luton were delighted this morning as their brand new B&M store was finally unveiled, with 40 jobs created in the process.

The store, which can be located on on Gipsy Lane, officially opened its doors to the public today.

A wide range of branded products are available to purchase, including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal.

As part of the opening day process, colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity who could be given some VIP treatment. They chose Stepping Stones Luton who, alongside the Mayor, Cllr Naseem Ayub, and her husband, Mohammed Ayub, helped unveil the new store.

The charity is dedicated to supporting women to transform the stumbling blocks of their lives into stepping stones; creating happier, healthier lives for women, their children and families.

As a thank you for all of the hard work they do in the community, and for helping to open the new B&M store, the charity were handed £250 worth of vouchers to spend in-store.

The store manager, Martin Barnes, said: “The team from Stepping Stones Luton really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local women in the community, we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”

He also commented: Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open and show customers their brand new B&M.”
