B&M Sets up Shop on Victoria Retail Park in Beverley

08 September 2018

Customers in Beverley were delighted this morning as B&M opened a new store on Victoria Retail Park.

The new store is a boost to the local community with more than 40 jobs created for people from the area.

Visitors to the store will be able to browse a wide range of branded and own label goods, including toys, groceries, health & beauty and pet ranges.

As part of the opening day celebrations, the store staff were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment, so picked Bundles of Joy.

The charity was set up to support babies, children and their families throughout Hull and East Yorkshire. Their purpose is to help relieve poverty and offer support to disadvantaged families who have found  themselves in need, by providing clothing, toiletries, nappies, toys, prams, cots and other essential baby equipment.

In addition to opening the new store, they were given £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for all of their hard work in the community.

The store manager, Mike Hayhurst, said: “The team from Bundles of Joy really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for the local community, we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”

He also commented: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, so we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”
