Douglas MacMillan Hospice Unveil Fenton's New B&M Store

30 January 2021

More than 80 people from the local area have been hired as B&M officially opened a new store in Fenton this morning.

The latest B&M store, located on Berry Hill Trading Estate, will allow locals to experience the variety retailer’s great selection of branded and own label products.

With everything from toys and homewares to groceries and pet, there’s plenty of items for visitors to the B&M store to shop.

And store staff were delighted to welcome Douglas MacMillan Hospice as their VIP, who were invited to cut the ribbon on opening day.

Douglas Macmillan Hospice provides all hospice services free of charge to over 3,500 patients with life-limiting illnesses each year in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding villages, also offering supportive care to their families and carers.

In addition to opening the new store, the charity received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part and for all their hard work in the community.

The store manager said: "It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors this morning, the feedback so far has been fantastic.

"A big thank you to the team at Douglas MacMillan who helped us open the store today, we hope that our donation can help them to continue to do the great work they do in supporting the local people."
