Dover Welcomes Second B&M Store

19 June 2019

Dover has welcomed its latest B&M store with a brand new location opening on Biggin Street this morning.

Over 40 people from the local area have been employed at the store, adding to the 48 already employed in the Honeywood Retail Park store.

A wide range of branded products are available to purchase, including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal.

As part of the opening day process, colleagues nominated local charity, LNLI, to be given some VIP treatment. They helped unveil the new store with the Lord Mayor, Cllr Gordon Cowan.

For over 165 years Dover lifeboats have been saving the lives of local people. Today, the station operates the largest lifeboat in the fleet, a Severn class lifeboat.

In addition to helping to open the new store, the charity were given £250 worth of vouchers to spend.

The store manager, Di Kelly, said: “The team at RNLI really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community, we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”

She also commented: Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open on Wednesday and show customers their brand new B&M.”
