Durham Store Relocation to Larger Location is Complete

The long-awaited grand reopening of B&M's Durham store on Durham City Retail Park has arrived.

Moving to a much larger unit has allowed B&M to hire an additional 45 people from the local area.

It has doubled in size to its previous location and can now offer customers a much bigger range of products across all departments. They can expect to find a wide variety of brand products, including toys, food & drink, pet products and health & beauty, including a brand new garden centre!

The colleagues in-store selected two locals heroes, Graham and Dwayne, who have shone during the COVID-19 pandemic, setting up a football school for local children to keep them motivated and active.

As a reward, B&M rewarded them with £250 worth of vouchers.

The store manager, Mark Pedalty, said: “We know there have been lots of people who have done amazing things for our local community over the last few months.

“We hope that our donation can help treat them and show them how much the community really appreciates their hard work.”

He also commented: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open and show customers their brand new B&M.”
