First Ever B&M Furniture & DIY Store Opens in Hulme
02 June 2021
B&M completed the long-awaited opening of its first ever Furniture & DIY Store today.
Next door to the existing Hulme B&M Store on Hulme High Street, we have opened a first of its kind store dedicated totally to our furniture and DIY ranges.
Worry not, though, because if you're still after bargains across other departments, you only need to return to the normal store next door!
The opening of the new store has seen more than 20 locals hired, and those colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity to act as VIPs on opening day. They chose the team from Friends of Rosie to take centre stage.
Friends of Rosie is a volunteer-led children’s cancer charity that provide funding for children’s cancer research to get new ideas off the ground. In addition to opening the store, the team will also receive £250 worth of B&M vouchers which will go towards helping the charity to continue doing the great work they do.
The store manager at B&M Hulme said: “Friends of Rosie really stood out for us so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done, especially during the pandemic. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work.”
She also commented: “Our colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day and we’re all really excited to welcome our customers through the doors. This store is a first of its kind so we’re super exited to see what our customers think of the new concept!”
