Food Bank Helps to Open New Quedgeley B&M Store

17 November 2020

Customers waited eagerly this morning as their brand new B&M Store in Quedgeley was opened.

With help from a local food bank, B&M officially unveiled a brand new store on Kingsway Retail Park this morning.

The brand new store, which has employed more than 60 people, will allow locals to experience the variety retailer’s great selection of branded and own label products.

With everything from toys and homewares to groceries and pet, there’s plenty of items for visitors to the B&M store to shop.

And store staff were delighted to welcome the local Food Bank as their VIP, who were invited to cut the ribbon on opening day. They have helped the local community massively throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and beyond.

In addition to opening the new store, the charity also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part and for all their hard work.

The store manager, David Small, said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of more jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers this morning."
