Glasgow Children's Hospital Helps to Open New Auchinlea B&M Store

25 August 2018

Customers in Glasgow were delighted this morning as B&M opened a new store on Auchinlea Way.

The new store is a boost to the local community with more than 35 jobs created for people from the area.

Visitors to the store will be able to browse a wide range of branded and own label goods, including toys, groceries, health & beauty and pet ranges.

As part of the opening day celebrations, the store staff were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment, so picked Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.

The charity aim to raise funds through the generosity of local people to help provide the best possible facilities and environment at Glasgow Children’s Hospital to support sick patients and their families.

In addition to opening the new store, they were given £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for all of their hard work in the community.

The store manager, Charlene, said: “The team from Glasgow Children's Hospital really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for the local community. We wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

“We hope that our donation can help them to continue their great work.”

She also commented: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, so we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”
