Hednesford Relocation to Bigger & Better Store Complete

28 November 2019

The long-awaited grand reopening of B&M's Hednesford store on Victoria Shopping Park has arrived.

The original store on Market Street closed on November 19th, and the former Poundland site has undergone a comprehensive internal and external makeover programme.

The store employed 18 colleagues originally, but the larger store has seen an additional 22 locals hired.

Colleagues nominated Newlife, to be given some VIP treatment, and as a thank you, were given £250 worth of vouchers.

The team support disabled and terminally ill children in the local community to help them get the equipment they need that could change their lives.

Alongside the charity, the Lord Mayor, Cllr Paul Woodhead, was also in attendance.

The store manager, Natalie Hughes, said: “The team from Newlife really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”

She also commented: Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, and we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”
