Livingston Welcomes New B&M Store in Almondvale Shopping Centre

13 March 2019

The long-awaited brand new B&M store in Livingston was officially opened this morning, much to the joy of local customers.

More than 40 jobs were created at the store, which can be found in Almondvale Shopping Centre.

A wide range of branded products are available to purchase, including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal.

As part of the opening day process, colleagues nominated local charity, Children 1st, to be given some VIP treatment. They, alongside the Provost, Cllr Tom Kerr, helped unveil the new store.

The charity aims to prevent abuse and neglect, to protect children and keep them safe from harm in Scotland.

As a thank you for all of the hard work they do in the community, and for helping to open the new B&M store, the charity were handed £250 worth of vouchers to spend in-store.

The store manager, Neil Scullion, said: “The team from Children 1st really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local children in the community, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”

He also commented: Our new colleagues have worked really hard to get the store ready for opening day, and we can't wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”

Patrick Robbertze, Centre Director at The Centre, Livingston said: "We are delighted to welcome B&M to The Centre, Livingston which will be a great addition to our existing retail offering in the mall.

"The store looks fantastic with a wide variety of products and I'm sure it will be a big hit with all of our customers."
