Local Hero Opens New B&M Store in Falkirk

14 November 2014

Variety retailer B&M has created up to 60 jobs in Falkirk after opening a new store at the former Tesco in the town. The finishing touches were completed to the B&M Homestore on the Meadow Street Retail Park which opened on Friday 14th November at 9am.

To celebrate this opening, a deserving member of the community had the chance to be a VIP for the morning. The search was for a local hero to open the new B&M Home store; heroes were nominated by friends, family or work colleagues and were individuals who makes life better for people in the area, work hard for a particular cause or are renowned for their charity work.

Carol Lindsay B&M’s Store Manager at Falkirk said: “We wanted a true VIP to officially open our new store and what better way than to ask customers to nominate those who make a real difference to people’s lives in and around Falkirk”.

We were not judging by age or the type of support, we just wanted someone who goes that extra mile and who we can give something back to for a change”.

The deserving winner was Ria Marshall from Falkirk for Mums who also received £250 worth of vouchers to spend in store.
