Mayor Cuts Ribbon at Brand New Bangor B&M Store

29 November 2019

B&M was welcomed to Bloomfield Shopping Centre in Bangor today following the latest store opening in the region.

Eager customers queued on Friday morning, keen to be the first customers through B&M's doors.

As part of the opening day festivities, Decorum NI were nominated by store colleagues as their chosen charity, donating £250 worth of vouchers as a thank you for all of the hard work they do for the community.

The organisation supports security forces such as Armed Forces, Police or Prison Service who served during the Troubles in Northern Ireland, as well as their families.

Alongside them was the Lord Mayor, Alderman Bill Keery, to cut the ceremonial ribbon.

The store, which has created 30 new jobs in the region, contains a wide range of branded products, including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal.

The store manager, Stuart Walker, said: “The team at Decorum really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”

He also commented: Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open on Friday and show customers their brand new B&M.”
