More than 40 Jobs Created at Brand New B&M Store in Kempshott

27 March 2021

Customers in Kempshott were delighted this morning following the grand opening of their brand new B&M Store.

The new store, which was formerly a Mothercare, has created more than 40 jobs for locals.

A wide range of branded products are available to purchase, including toys, food & drink, homeware, electricals, pet products, health & beauty and much more.

The new colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from Inspero Covid-19 Community Charity to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store next weekend.

Inspero is a local food and wellbeing charity based in Basingstoke who aim to support those vulnerable and in need within their local community. The charity provides a range of services, from a drop in food hub and weekly food deliveries to, friendly check ins and phone calls and prescription collections.

In addition to opening the store, the team also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers which will go towards helping the charity to continue doing the great work they do.

The store manager said: "We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people during these difficult times and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“Our colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready, and we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M store.”
