More than 50 Hired as B&M Opens in Prudhoe

18 November 2020

More than 50 locals have been hired by B&M after a brand new store was officially opened in Prudhoe.

The brand new store, on Tyneview Retail Park, will allow locals to experience the variety retailer’s great selection of branded and own label products.

With everything from toys and homewares to groceries and pet, there’s plenty of items for visitors to the B&M store to shop.

And store staff were delighted to welcome Wellburn Residential Care Home as their VIP, who were invited to cut the ribbon on opening day.

Wellburn House Residential Care Home is a private home in Ovingham that supports residents living with dementia. In addition to opening the store, the team have also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers to go towards giving the residents the best Christmas possible during these uncertain times.

The store manager said: “Wellburn House really stood out for us so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done, and continue to do. We hope that our donation can help the residents of Wellburn House have the best possible Christmas.”

He also commented: “Our colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, and we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”
