B&M has created 60 jobs in Aberystwyth after securing new shop premises at the former MFI on the Parc-Y-Llyn Retail Park in the town. The finishing touches are currently being made to the 18,000sq ft store which will open on Saturday 10th May at 9am.

Customers can expect a wide variety of branded and own label products from its convenient location on the retail park including groceries and toiletries as well as an extensive non-food section including toys, soft furnishings, home and gardening ranges.

The opening ceremony will be undertaken by the Chairman of Llanbadarn Fawr Community Council Councillor Mark Hemmingway and Mayor Elect Councillor Brenda Haines who’s first official engagement as the new Mayor of Aberystwyth will be to ‘cut the ribbon’ and mark the store’s opening.

As part of the grand opening, there will also be a ‘Golden Ticket’ Competition for the first 100 customers with every envelope containing a prize, free face painting as well as balloon giveaways and unique promotional activity from Pringles.

Alwyn Davies, Store Manager at B&M Aberystwyth said: “We are excited to get the doors open on Saturday 10th May and have a team of colleagues who are willing to provide great value products and world class service to our customers. We are also delighted that the Mayor Elect’s first official engagement will be our grand opening”.
