Portsmouth FC Help Unveil Brand New B&M Store

07 November 2019

Pompey in the Community - a foundation affiliated with Portsmouth Football Club - helped to officially unveil B&M's latest store today.

More than 65 people from the local area have been employed at the store, which can be found on Ocean Retail Park.

It contains a wide range of branded products, including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal.

As part of the opening day process, colleagues nominated Pompey ITC, to be given some VIP treatment. They helped unveil the new store alongside their mascot, Nelson the Dog.

The charity is an independent trust associated with Portsmouth FC. They deliver a variety of community projects and football training session for people of all ages to get involved in.

In addition to helping to open the new store, they were given £250 worth of vouchers to spend.

The store manager, Theresa Abbot, said: “The team at Pompey in the Community really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for local people in the community, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”

She also commented: Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, and we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”
