Robroyston Staff Numbers Almost Double After Refurbishment

13 March 2020

The long-awaited grand reopening of B&M's Robroyston store on Wallace Well Retail Park has arrived.

The original store closed on February 23rd, and the site has undergone a comprehensive internal and external makeover programme. Prior to the refurbishment, 41 colleagues worked in the store, but due to a much bigger space, an additional 30 locals have been hired.

Colleagues nominated Wallacewell Primary School, to be given some VIP treatment, and as a thank you, were given £250 worth of vouchers.

The school was recently struck by tragedy as their outdoor classrom was burnt down. They were left devastated by the fire, and a fundraising page was set up to raise money to help with the rebuild.

The store manager, Sean Shanley, said: “When we heard about what happened to Wallacewell Primary School, we jumped at the chance to help.

“We wanted to give them some VIP treatment as well as a donation to help them rebuild their classroom.”

He also added: “Our new colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open on Friday and show customers their brand new B&M.”
