Skelmersdale Boosted With New B&M Store

Variety discount retailer B&M has today opened a brand-new store on Skelmersdale's Tawd Valley Retail & Leisure Park.

In a welcoming boost to the local economy, the 17,848 sqft. store will see the creation of up to 50 new jobs for local residents.

Skelmersdale shoppers can expect to find a huge variety of branded groceries for the best prices, including a selection of food, drink and pet food.

In addition, there will be a large offering of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts and plenty more for shoppers to explore.

When asked to nominate a local charity to help open the store, local colleagues chose Skelmersdale Foodbank - a local foodbank providing three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred in crisis.

To thank Skelmersdale Foodbank for their selfless work, the team received £250 in B&M vouchers to help them continue to provide those in need.

Speaking after the store's opening, the new B&M's store manager said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door.”
