Guest Recipe: Chikumo's Green Vitamin Breakfast Smoothie

Chikumo's Green Vitamin Breakfast Smoothie is vegetarian, vegan, and high in fibre, proteins, potassium, iron and vitamins A and C. It aids everything from a healthy gut to healthy hair and bones, making it the perfect breakfast to help kickstart your day (and help you stick to those New Year's resolutions!) What better way to start your mornings?

  • 2 Cups baby leaf spinach
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Banana
  • ½ Avocado
  • 2 ½ - 3 cups apple or pineapple juice


  1. Wash the spinach and apple
  2. Peel, de-core and cut the apple into 4 pieces
  3. Remove and de-core the avocado
  4. Peel and chop the banana into 3 pieces
  5. Add all the ingredients into the blender
  6. Blend for 3 minutes

For best results, serve chilled.
