Hunter’s Chicken

This Hunter's Chicken recipe is perfect for  2 people to dine in on. Great for a quick, midweek meal.

  • Olive oil as required
  • Large chicken thighs (one per person)
  • Bacon (2 rashers per person)
  • Grated cheddar (20g per person)
  • BBQ sauce (25ml per person)


  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C.
  2. Rub oil across a baking tray.
  3. Place the chicken thighs on the tray.
  4. Cover the chicken with two rashers of bacon each.
  5. Place the tray in the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Carefully remove the tray from the oven and pour the BBQ sauce over each thigh. 
  7. Add 20g of cheddar to the top of each thigh, then return them to the oven for 2 minutes.

Remove the hunter’s chicken from the oven, serve and enjoy!
