Ah the humble stew. Is there anything that warms the bones quite like a beef broth? This easy recipe has all the hallmarks of a classic stew, but a little paprika and teriyaki sauce adds an extra kick you never knew stew needed.

Ingredients

  • 500g cubed beef braising beef
  • 1/2 tbsp paprika
  • 500ml beef stock
  • 4 tsp teriyaki sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, cubed
  • 225g mushrooms, quartered
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to season

Method

It should take about 15 minutes to prepare this irresistible meal and even though it will take 6 hours on low to cook through, it's worth waiting for!
