How to paint a feature wall by Johnstone's

02 July 2017

Here is how to paint the perfect feature wall from the paint experts, Johnstone's.

Johnstone's have a long history in the UK as being one of the top manufactuer's of high quality paint and at B&M is proud to be working with Johnstone's and to offer a huge range of paints and accessories to help you create your dream home. We stock a range of different types of paint from matt emulsion to wood stain to Kitchen & Bathroom specific mid sheen paint that is highly durable and has a gloss finish.

To create the perfect feature wall, pick the wall and wash down with sugar soap. Use masking tape to mask off areas that need to be protected like the woodwork and the adjacent walls. Edge in the paint using a paint brush and then cover the middle part of the wall using a roller brush. You should use long even strokes in a W motion for the best coverage and more professional finish.

Allow the paint to dry fully, you can then remove the masking tape to reveal your perfect feature wall. Such a simple but effective way to update your home and get the home you deserve.
