Get the Look: Trending Home Furnishings this Spring

23 May 2019

Need some inspiration for your next home makeover? Whether you’re looking to completely transform your home or just want to add some decorative touches to rooms, we’ve put together a selection of amazing new spring-summer home décor, homewares and furniture in a range of trending colour schemes.

Coastal Chic

You don’t need to make wholesale changes to really make a difference. Rooms can be transformed with a few carefully placed items, and if they’re committed to a particular colour or theme, this will really add a sense of purpose to your home.

Our Coastal Chic theme is full of beautiful trinkets and accessories that add character to rooms that need that “little something”. Ideal alongside clean and neutural colours like white and grey, our Sail Boat Ornament and Nautical Anchor Hanging Decoration evoke the crisp, fresh sea air, while the flash of blue will have a calming effect.

B&M Top Tip: in the image above, our Heritage Wooden Lantern sits atop the practical Bjorn Wide Tray Table in grey – it’s perfect for cute ornaments and decorative items.

Garden’s Don’t Have to be Green

The best part of spring and summer is enjoying the outdoor spaces that go unused for the other 6 months of the year. The longer days and warmer evenings mean we can throw open our back doors and enjoy green gardens and sunny yards.

It doesn’t matter how big or small your outdoor space is, there’s plenty you can do to enhance these areas. How about our Hawaii String Garden Bench in neutral white or grey? Contrast this with our fluffy Mongolian Faux Fur Cushion in bold ochre for an inviting and cosy retreat.

B&M Top Tip: not everyone is naturally green-fingered. Which is why we have a beautiful range of artificial plants and flowers to keep your garden looking lovely. We love this Artificial Cheese Plant, while Artificial Tulips add a splash of colour.

Geometric Grey

Geometry was never likely to get our pulses racing at school. But the geometric trend in our homeware ranges shows no sign of slowing down!

Update your kitchen with these mesmerising Embossed Geometric Storage Canisters, and match the soft greys with our Ombre Dinner Set. They go especially well with ochre and deep grey painted walls, providing a backdrop which adds energy and sunshine; especially in kitchens that don’t receive much natural light.

B&M Top Tip: find the right paint colour for your next DIY project. Our Interior Paint selection features Dulux and Johnstone’s paint, from emulsion, gloss and undercoat to specialist kitchen and bathroom paint.

Pursue Pretty

Blushing may well be a sign of embarrassment, but using this pink hue in bedrooms will give you something to be really proud of.

We have lots of amazing bedding sets, throws and cushions in this stylish blush colourway, including the beautiful Lexi Metallic Geo Cushion.

And ready to complete the look from our selection of decorative accessories, our Blush Candle Holder and Gold Plant Pot with Metal Legs look great atop the glossy surface of the Patina Round Metal Table in rose gold.

B&M Top Tip: if you love pink, you’ll love our Pursue Pretty range of soft furnishings and home décor accessories. Get the look now – our new Spring/Summer ranges are now in-stores!
