B&M Welcomes Shoppers to Brand New East Street, Taunton Store!

Located at the former Wilko unit on East Street, Taunton, the new B&M store has undergone a comprehensive internal and external renovation programme before officially opening its doors on Thursday 5^th February 2026. To celebrate the store opening, B&M colleagues were asked to nominate a charity they felt deserved some VIP treatment for the work they do within the local community. They selected the team from Taunton Foodbank to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

As part of The Trussell Trust network, Taunton Foodbank aims to combat poverty and hunger by supporting local individuals and families facing hardship.

The charity provides three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced emergency food to people when they need it most. Their valuable work relies on the generosity of donations from the public as they work towards ending food poverty for all.

The B&M store manager commented: “Taunton Foodbank really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
