Johnstone's Revive Metallic Paint.

To achieve a unique look, why not try experimenting with Revive Gold or Silver Finishing waxes? The dark, opulent waxes are ideal for using over our Chalky Furniture Paint or Metallic paint to create an antique finish.

They'll also seal your paint and can be layered with Revive Clear and Sepia Waxes to achieve different effects.

Use alone as a topcoat or with Johnstone’s Revive Chalky Furniture Paint

Step 1 – PREPARE

The surface should be thoroughly cleaned, dry and free from contamination such as grease, waxes or polish. Wash with mild detergent solution, rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry.

Smooth surfaces and bare wood should be lightly abraded with a fine waterproof abrasive paper to provide a key. If covering a previously painted surface, remove any flaking or blistering areas. Again rub down well with a fine waterproof abrasive paper. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding to avoid the inhalation of dust. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead. For further advice contact Technical Advisory.

Step 2 – PAINT

Stir well before use. Apply evenly using brush or roller in the direction of the wood grain. For an opulent distressed look; Apply one coat of Revive Metallic effect paint, allow to dry. Then apply one coat of Revive Chalky Furniture Paint and allow to dry. Lightly sand / scour to reveal layers.

We recommend that you complete and protect your furniture with a choice of Johnstone’s Revive Finishing Waxes.

DRYING TIME
Touch dry in 2 hours, recoatable after 4 hours.
