Place at least 2 meters above ground to keep away from predators. Secure to a fence, wall or tree between north and east to provide natural protection from direct sunlight, wind and rain.

Make sure to have a clear flight path to the nest without any obstructions directly in front of the entrance.

After the end of each nesting season, remove old material and clean to ensure its ready for the new nesting season.
