Spear & Jackson Creocote Wood Treatment.

Spear & Jackson Creocote is an oil based wood treatment, effective when applied to exterior timbers such as garden sheds, fences and trellis work.

Not suitable for use on internal timbers or garden furniture.

Its oil based properties provide excellent surface water repellence and restricts water damage. The product improves grain and definition.

Spear & Jackson Creocote is not designed for use on decking, planed or smooth timber.

Preparation

Ensure all timbers are structurally sound, dry and free from surface growths
Sealed or painted timbers must be stripped back to bare wood before coating with this product
The final shade is dependant upon the timber being treated and the previous covering applied
The colour will fade with time

Application

Creocote can be applied by brush, spray or dip methods
A deeper colour may be attained by applying further treatments
Apply liberally, soaking the timber to achieve best results
Always ensure that end-grain timbers are fully saturated

Coverage

Depending upon the texture and porosity of the timber to be treated, application of a single coat of Creocote will cover at the rate of 1L per 6 to 8m²

After Use

Clean all tools and application equipment with White Spirit

If you are not happy with a purchase you make at one of our stores, simply return the product in its original condition with proof of purchase within 30 days and we’ll give you a full refund or replacement.

Customers are advised that refunds and credit notes will only be given where proof of purchase (receipt, credit card statement etc.) is provided. To qualify for a refund or replacement, products need to be complete with all components and original packaging.

Conditions apply to some products:

Audio/DVD and computer games: Refunds and exchanges cannot be given on these products. Should any prove to be faulty it can be returned with your receipt within 30 days and we will exchange it for one of the same title.
Unwanted food or drink products: Once supply conditions are broken, there are a number of factors outside of our control that can affect the quality of a product. Therefore, perishable goods such as food and drink cannot be returned.
Personal grooming products: For reasons of hygiene and safety, cosmetics or items of intimate clothing cannot be returned.
Bedding: Mattresses, mattress toppers, duvets and pillows can only be returned if they are unused, in the original packaging and in a resaleable condition.
Plants: Any plant product cannot be returned to store.
With faulty electrical goods, customers have 12 months to return any faulty electrical item as long as proof of purchase is provided. This could be the original receipt, however any other legitimate record, such as a bank statement will suffice.
Any other faulty return, should be returned within a reasonable time frame with a proof of purchase provided.

This policy is offered in addition to your statutory rights.
